Culture Capital engages in a wide-ranging spectrum of projects for cultural organizations and the private and public sectors including municipal and other governments, agencies and foundations. Projects embrace the arts, heritage, cultural land use developments, special events and festivals. Below are some of our more recent projects.
Town of Orangeville
Culture Capital in partnership with Nordicity prepared a culture plan and cultural map for the Town of Orangeville, Orangeville's Cultural Advantage that was released in the spring of 2014.
Town of Oakville
Culture Capital collaborated with a team led by Urban Strategies Inc. in a major land-use planning process developing a downtown cultural hub for the Town of Oakville.
Ryerson University Creative Industries Program
Rita Davies serves as Chair of the Advisory Committee to a new Bachelor of Arts program in Creative Industries being launched at Ryerson University.
Toronto Book Fair
In 2013 Rita Davies developed a report examining the reasibility of developing a new book fair for Toronto. She subsequently partnered in producing the event on a one-time basis in the fall of 2014.
Leadership Nouveau
Leadership Nouveau, is an exclusive and groundbreaking annual conference on the challenges of arts management in the 21st century curated by HEC Montréal, one of the world’s finest business schools. The inaugural event was held in New York City on May 9 & 10, 2013 and was attended by influential international cultural leaders. Rita Davies acted as Moderator for the Panel on New Forms of Arts Philanthropy and sits on the Steering Committee for the 2014 Conference.
Fredericton
Culture Capital partnered with a Nordicity-led team, to develop a Culture Plan for the City of Fredericton. As part of the community engagement process , Rita Davies spoke about cultural planning to an audience at a Town Hall in Fredericton on September 5, 2013.
